STIHL MS250 CHAINSAW Perfect condition as pictured with 32 inch Cannon bar.
This is not designed for heavy work that maximizes bar length, it’s a specialty saw.
Why do we sell this small saw with such a long 32 inch bar and does it work? BECAUSE IT WORKS.
All our kits work very well but bar far the most complements we get are for this MS250 with 32 inch bar, without exception everyone is completely surprised to find out what a fabulous setup this is and how well it cuts with the long bar. Over the last 5 years we have received a boat load of hate mail from people telling us it cant be done and how stupid we are for building this setup that it wont work but the 200+ people who've bought and used this setup think its the best saw they've ever owned. Maybe the people with the hate mail assume were cutting big logs with it, for sure it does that quite well but that's not its purpose and shouldn’t be bought specifically for big logs. its design is a special purpose, tree topping, arborists work, liming and bucking small trees without bending over saw.
There is simply thousands of useful applications where you need extra reach and don’t want a big heavy saw. If you have big trees to cut get yourself a big saw this is NOT made to replace big saws, you wouldn't think people have to be told this but there's a lot of self appointed professionals out there. If this saw didn’t work we wouldn’t be selling it, don’t let others tell you what you can’t do.
As a timber feller for over 40 years 32 inch bars have always been the smallest bar we use because no matter how small the timber gets shorter bars will give you a back ache and kill your day. This saw will stump a 20 inch tree very quickly and your first 40 foot log will drop to 14 inches or less, this is all a piece of cake for this saw. Obviously the limbs are only 1-4 inch who wants to bend over like a monkey to cut them? It’s no problem with this light saw, why carry a big saw or short bar?
It's not designed to be a production everyday timber cutter saw.
Long bars are much safer than short ones when it comes to kickback which is greatly reduced over those short 18 inch factory bars. Light saws will keep you working longer and more productive, this setup is tried and true, IT WORKS.

Technically you should be able to buy this chain from any Stihl dealer but few of the dealers keep it in stock, we always keep 2000 feet in stock and cheaper than anyone. It's very easy to accidently hit the ground and rock your chain in any chainsaw application, chains are cheap so don't be left without an extra on hand.

This is a specialty superlight weight saw is NOT made for cutting big logs but as our videos show it will do a very good job, if you regularly cut big logs we would recommend a bigger saw like the MS362
it's designed to provide longer LIGHTER safer reach so you don't kill your back and place yourself so close to danger.
We have sold over 200 of these in a 32 inch MS250 setup and everyone has been very happy with it, the 24-28 inch obviously will cut faster, we use both extensively ourselves in arborist work.
WE prefer the MS250 over the MS251 and recommend you buy them before they're all gone, Stihl is discontinuing the 250 for the heavier 251
These are a really great saw, we use them extensively for professional work and we feel they are one of the best saws ever made by anyone because of the power to weight ratio and at these prices they are almost disposable. We also are the only place you can buy long bars for these saws. we sell 24-32 inch bars to fit, which makes them excellent limbing and toping saws, they work great with the special chain we sell. Saws do NOT need more horse power they just need someone with the correct parts and knowledge to set them up correctly, a true hot saw is a saw that cuts faster NOT a saw with more horse power. If you want to enter a drag race you should buy lots of horse power, if you want to cut logs with a chainsaw you should buy light weight.
