Marklin 8150 Railroad Museum Starter Set from 1993-1995.This set was designed to let you recreate the sense of a Z-Scale (Mini-Club) museum with one real Z-scale train, layout board, track, plastic magnifier lens, cardboard "walls" of the display hall, and numerous cardboard display pieces of different locomotive and car styles, plus paper museum decorations (plants, visitors, etc).
The working train consists of a DB Class BR 89 0-6-0 steam locomotive (3-pole motor) and two Marklin 8700-style passenger cars. Locomotive has been tested and runs well.
The layout board is a solid base for an oval. An unopened bag contains clear plastic bases are for setting up the cardboard cutouts, as indicated in the photo of the completed museum on the box cover.This set is very rare to find in this condition, all complete with all cardboard cutout intact. All pieces are in excellent, new condition.
