DESCRIPTION
The item for sale is "Raffle for the Cure", a Tyler Wentworth TW0202 Ready for Summer doll with full face repaint and one-of-a-kind (OOAK) all-bead fashion by Julie Antonucci of Chicago. Tyler Wentworth is 16-inch fashion doll designed by Robert Tonner and manufactured by Tonner Doll Company. This doll was the raffle prize doll offered at a Chicago doll show on May 6, 2007. It was to raise funds for breast cancer in honor of a member of the Windy City Collectors' Club.
As pictured, the ensemble is
a fitted floor-length gown with a low back in pink crystal beads, a stole in clear beads, and high-heeled sandals featuring double straps decorated with pink beads. The gown features thin shoulder straps and a horizontal strap in the upper back (with snap closure) and the the gown is held secure by snap closures in the lower back. The bodice is accented by a breast cancer awareness pink ribbon pendant decorated with Swarovski crystals. The top half of the gown is made of beads arranged in a square pattern and the lower half is made of beads arranged in a diamond pattern. Underneath this skirt is another layer of tubular beads arranged vertically.  The stole is made of clear seed beads that are tightly sewn together. This gown is a labor of love!
Also included is the original doll stand and the certificate of authenticity.
The doll was displayed in a dust-free curio in a smoke-free and pet-free home. The doll was returned to its original box and shipper box, as received from the the raffle organizers. The shipper box will be wrapped in bubble wrap and paper for shipping.
