  • Condition: Onyx base shows the typical rim losses and slight scratching from use over many years. In the pour for the bronze, a tiny area at the side of the dog's neck was not filled and is seen under lighted magnification. Otherwise fine condition consistent with age.     Description

    Purchased in England, this lovely antique Skye Terrier dog bronze is mounted on an onyx desk tray, and would still perform that task with dignity today. With cold painted eyes, the dog exhibits the fine patina only acquired with age, and the outstanding detailing only contributes to the appeal. Probably of origin in Austria. The dog itself measures 1 5/8" tall by 2" long. The onyx base measures 4" long by 3 3/4" wide. An outstanding piece full of charm and personality!
