    Description

Vintage pair of Cast Iron Bookends made in 1928 by the Connecticut Foundry in the shape of the west facade of England's Peterborough Cathedral, an early Gothic landmark. Bookends are same, stand approx 5" tall on a 4.75" by 1.5" base, they weigh approx 2lb 9oz together. The backs are inscribed "PETERBOROUGH CATHEDRAL - COPYRIGHT 1928" with the Connecticut Foundry logo of a "C" within a circled triangle. Other than some noted patina, the bookends are in decent shape for their age with no cracks or breaks, and all the spires appear to be intact.
