    Description:
    Up for sale is this circa 1920s or 1930s bookends made by the Jennings Brothers.  Marked JB no. 2462.  Very humorous depiction of a pair of monkeys inside a book reading.  One of the monkeys is pointing and another  looks on with interest.  Maybe a playful image for the Scopes trial that was going on around that time.  Bookends are cast white metal with a beautiful aged bronze or copper finish.  Wonderful detail and color.

    Measures 4.5" X 3.75" at the base and stands a little over 4" tall.
    Condition:
    Good condition without metal loss.  Minor rubs and wear consistent with age and normal use.  Please see all pictures for details.
